Just What Is a Bonsai?
The aim is always to produce a tree within the bounds of a pot. This tree is trained and treated in this manner; its final belief is the fact that of an aged tree. There are bonsai that because of the training over a long time, are considered family heirlooms, passed down from generation to generation.
Four most Typical Styles of the Bonsai
Upright: There is the formal and informal upright. Both have just one trunk, that is wider in the bottom and tapers to the top. These forms in many cases are found in nature and therefore are good fashions for newcomers to start with. The trunk has to be visible from the base to the top. The trunk of the informal fashion is permitted to turn and twist while the formal style has a straight trunk. Popular choice sources for both these styles are the juniper, pine, spruce with all the maple added for the style that is everyday. These fashions are regularly put little diameter pot, in a round.
Slanting: Nature, particularly the wind, often has a hand in the formation of trees. The slanting design leans to one side at about 60-80 degrees to the bottom. Always have the primary branch projecting opposite the way the trunk is leaning. There may be slight twisting of the trunk or it could be straight. Again, the above-mentioned species may be used, but the conifer is the most used. A shallow depth pot using a larger measurement is desired here.
Cascade: Such as the erect there are two versions, the Semi- cascade and the Cascade. Is on a cliff, bent down over time from the components where these designs would be found in nature. The training for both demands wiring to generate the cascade effect. The full cascade style runs on the tall pot as well as the bonsai is trained to go below the bottom of the pot as time passes. Creating this continual down growth takes patience and persistence, as it isn't natural to get a tree's growth. The semi- cascade would be place in a pot that isn't quite as tall and it's not allowed to extend below the bottom of the pot. The juniper adapts well to the training and these kinds. A flowering species employed for the cascade fashions include the, azalea, cotoneaster and pyracantha.

Additionally, there are the species such as the arboricola that are utilized to recreate the banyan tree that has air roots extending to the ground. Over time the air roots become trunk-like. Another specimen is the ficus tree. The multi-trunk styles can be put on a stone surface that is flat. You'll find those put on an actual stone and also trained to grow from inside a crack in a stone. The stone for this latter group, in set in a round pot that was shallow. Each one of these forms have training methods and their different names.
